To improve my wedding photography business, last week I signed up for some advertising on Wedding Wire. Usually I can spend time during the day working on the landscape photography website blog on weekends but was super busy all weekend getting my wedding portfolios, information, links, selfies, whatever ready for the advertising to work on next summer’s weddings and didn’t get any blogging done for this site.
The one regular reader will I’m sure be monumentally disappointed with only one post this week. To that person I apologize. One other bonus to working at the pool is the pocket change I make lets me buy gear for the next stage of going lighter and smaller in my landscape photography work. Plus I’ve thought about it and am adding a Black and White Only wedding photography package option on my website. The black and white only will be shot with the Fuji system I’ve now completed. It will use the XT-5, 14mm, 23mm, 35mm, and 90mm lenses. These equate to 20mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 135mm lenses in 35mm cameras. So for my landscape work I’ll be using something wide, something normal, and something longer. Keeping it simple so my mind can wander with ideas.
Now to save up for a small travel Profoto light and a not-a-Gitzo tripod. Gitzos fall apart. I’ll have to blog about that sometime.Take care and stay safe. Please remember to protest the coup d’état taking place right now in America. Our open and free places depend on it.
